Down by the bay Part III:
The day begins with lunch (Chirashi!) @ Sushi Tomi!
And sea animals at night
Cheesing it in front of the Cali Academy of Sciences
Down by the Bay Part II:
Gregoire’s infamous potato puffs and seasonal menu, their lamb was so-so but their salmon on puff pastry (not shown) was devoured before a picture could be had
And then cupcakes!
and then gelato… at this point my stomach was about to burst..
But there’s still dinner! Dinner was a slice of pizza split between us at the Cheeseboard! With IBC rootbeer… yum
With...

Day 1: First brunch at Zazies! Omelette du jour was so good, esp the bacon inside!
And a whole lot of vintage shopping later, we were hungry for Burmese food @ Burmese Superstar!!
And a lychee mojito!
End the night with a game of trivia at the Bitter End bar!
and a sam adams
Hot hot heat
Coffee ice cream and a mountain of sprinkles, mmm
Deep in the sands of a mindless reverie,
I was buried,
then sank deeper,
When...

Wok Tales
A wave of nostalgia washed over me in the midst of eating steamed spinach and fried rice; a shabby unintended replication on my part, of a special lunch my grandfather prepared during my childhood.
We had more in our lives than just men; we had our work, travel, friends, Then...

(apropos of nothing, I stumbled upon this while doing some research on Lance Armstrong - don’t ask - tonight. Found it thought-provoking.)
Alzheimers-
so i went out to my kitchen
saw the trash was emptied and thought “gee what a nice roommate she threw out the trash twice in one week… almost makes up for the fact she didn’t put a new roll of toilet paper on the roller” and then… i walked back into my room and remembered… I was the one that threw out the trash.

I’m thinking that this is a season for flings and freedom. I have an ex-boyfriend in California I still love, an old hookup I lust for each morning in between states of sleep, and more than one boy in Boston to look forward to come fall. Relationships are too fatiguing for a late-riser.

Trying to write the code for a program that will spectacularly end the quarter… and I am completely mesmerized at this show and horrified a little. Children giving birth to children.

Choking. I’m choking
on words! When will there be sentences?
May I?
So I could dignify myself
with a response when you ask
me, my name.
I have a world of a constellation
between my eyes
so I am choking—
telling to tell you
so fast
the brightness of such stars
embedded in the words
that are escaping haphazardly
from my mouth: a stutter, wayward.
Damn.
Shamefully...

Crying isn’t a cathartic release when you realize nothing you say or do will change the situation; it just becomes a gesture of helplessness.
